Hello.

Just a lil' bit, tiny bit, super excited about next weekend.

Caper's leg is tweaked (has been for January). I suppose he'll coach and eat treats, therefore becoming even fatter. I think he tweaked it on ice while I was gone. He stretches all the time. That's ok, because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to bring one dogs, or two dogs, and he's perfect whether he practices or not, anyway. I haven't worked him in forever, though (November?) and I'd really like to. I poke him (I'd say work, but let's be realistic, here) every now and then, and he doesn't mind (for once), which is adorable because Reef loves massages, even amatuer ones - and is a general pest trying to figure out how to wriggle in between me and Caper, and push him out of the way. Such an innocent face when she succeeds, upside-down in my lap. I've taken to just shoving her away, she is so bad.

Everyone lately said she was so little at 26", that since then I give her time, anyway. She did look, so tiny, such a far ways down - when I started it in August, that I thought, well, I honestly hope I have a reason to do this. I'm not sure if I do! Sometimes I can see the extra (well-done) athletic effort (like yesterday - double jump into soft weave pole entry), but most of the time she makes it look easy. She's got someone pretty good watching out for her conditioning, I would think? The only event I'm running for sure this summer, I think she is at 22" - she is teaming with some fun people in USDAA who want to go to Nationals, I don't think I'll ruin it by running her up a height! Maybe the summer after next summer, and if that doesn't look promising, she can run in 22", again. Some plans. After that, I have absolutely no idea if agility will even be involved. (When I say run, I suppose I mean practice, unless I radically decide to experiment at 26" trialing. I sure won't do that in any US venues, I think. I still hold some value in getting out of Novice.)

We could be walking the moors in Scotland, for all I know.

Dancing, dancing, please don't snow?

(Hello, sheep? You left! Waiting for Scotland? My dogs practically tackled me when they heard whistles on the computer the other day. Agility on the internet: dogs stay sleeping.)

Hiking has been an absolute bust, except for walking on the beach. Everything - literally everything, is ice. It's taken me hours to walk a few kilometers. (The dogs walk off the trail. Cheaters.) I panicked the other day when I started iceskating in my boots. I don't ice-skate, technically. I tried it once in an arena in Florida. I assume one would have more traction and control in actual skates? I would try here, except you must own skates. (No rentals? What is this genuine place? The other day, I felt fairly swag for going to the gym at 7AM. Who walked past me on their way out? Eight to ten year olds finishing hockey practice. On a school day. By god, what time did they arrive?) It either needs to snow, or rain again. (Number of times it has rained in January so far: three.)

:o I will take you ice skating!! :D We only have like a gazillion pairs of skates at my house. I'm sure we can find one pair that fits.

Even better than a rink, we can go on our lil pond!
